The Schubart Gymnasium is located in a scenic area close to the city's park in the Rombacher Street. Depending on where you live it is easily accessible by foot, by bike or with public transport. Mrs. Christiane Dittmann is the principal of the school, Mr. Richard Erhardt is the assistant principal.

The Schubart Gymnasium is a school with a long tradition, being the oldest high school in Aalen. Since 1914 students have achieved the Abitur (German university entrance qualification) here. The listed historic building, which was thoroughly renovated, fulfills modern standards for an excellent learning atmosphere. In the year 2011/12 the school has a total 0f 77 teachers and 915 students.
